What we try to offer is a fully tailored, personal service from pick up at Faro Airport to bringing you to walk start points and collecting you at the end of the walk. Your package includes seven nights accommodation at Duas Quintas, a traditional farmhouse recently renovated and offering you a unique blend of traditional features and modern comfort.
You will start your day with a substantial, healthy, home baked breakfast. A packed lunch is also provided for each day. Before setting out we will give you your self guide walking notes and go through them with you to make sure everything is clear. We are always available at the end of the phone if you have any difficulties en route. We take you to your walk starting point, if you are not setting out from Duas Quintas and we will be there at the finish point when you are ready to return home to Duas Quintas.
There is a small local restaurant, about 20 minutes walk away and you can enjoy a good evening meal there. Fresh grilled fish and meat are the specialities. the atmosphere is relaxed, a perfect place to enjoy the local wine. Alternatively we can arrange a taxi to take you to and from Silves where there are many excellent restaurants for dinner. If you decide to stay in and enjoy an evening meal in the gardens, there is a BBQ and small summer kitchen. We can pick up your order from a local butcher or fishmonger, just let us know the day before.
Our aim is to give you a relaxing, refreshing and stress free break as well as introduce you to the very varied and little known delights of walking in the Algarve. Many of our guests like to take a rest day in the middle of the week, to visit the beach, take a boat trip to the caves or go shopping in Portimão or Lagos.
The cost for this full personal service is € 475 pps.
What is not included:
- Evening meals – You should allow between €15 – €20 per person for a three course meal with wine at a recommended local restaurant.
- Transport to and from restaurants in the evenings.
- Holiday and walking insurance
- Flights to and from Faro Airport
If you prefer to hire your own car and travel independently to and from the airport contact us for a revised costing.
We do not advise you to consider a walking holiday in July and August.
We strongly advise you to arrange holiday/walking insurance before leaving home.
